3-WAY HYBRID REDEFINED
Softears designed and developed a true 3-way IEM comprised of a groundbreaking dynamic driver combined with the accuracy of a nouveau mid-high BA configuration.
Unlike similar hybrid designs that use 2BA for mid/high frequencies, Softears has developed a new unique crossover for the Volume, comprising a full-range BA and a high frequency BA. The two balanced armatures are driven through a complex RC crossover circuit that immensely lowers distortion and allows for a wider frequency response than similar products.
The complex crossover is carefully engineered with 8 components and ensures stability independent of the output impedance of the source. It was designed to reduce hiss from amplifiers, yet the efficiency is high enough for use with portable devices.
NEWLY DEVELOPED BERYLLIUM-PLATED DYNAMIC DRIVER
Volume has a 10mm beryllium-plated dynamic driver that features an internal magnetic dual-chamber. The diaphragm is connected to an ultra-soft suspension with low decay. The woofer is specifically designed for low-end frequencies to deliver a powerful yet precise bass, even when driven from portable devices. Similar designs have usually only been found in large speakers or studio monitors.
BEAUTIFUL RACING GREEN DESIGN
The green metal faceplate is precisely cut from anodized aluminum with a CNC machine. CNC technology was used to match the production with the precision of the sound design.
While the classy green color might at first strike a resemblance to the golden years of racing, those who have listened to the Volume will know that the green color is actually poison. The sound of Volume is simply addicting and fits and genre, while boasting the prowess of a racing car engine.
